Wood Stove
Changeout Programs
The Air District periodically sponsors rebate programs for replacing older, more highly polluting wood-burning appliances with newer, cleaner models.
Wood Stove Rebate Programs
The County of Marin and Bay Area Air Quality Management District are currently offering rebates for the proper removal and replacement of non-EPA certified wood-burning appliances with cleaner-burning appliances, such as EPA-certified wood stoves, pellet stoves, or propane appliances.
Rebates are $250 for removal of non-certified devices, and $750 for removal AND replacement of non-certified wood-burning appliance with a cleaner appliance.
This program is only available to homes in the San Geronimo Valley (Forest Knolls, Lagunitas, San Geronimo and Woodacre).
Rebates are available through August 1, 2013 or until funds are exhausted.
