Napa County

Resource Team

The Napa Valley Clean Air Coalition has developed a website dedicated to car free tourism in the Napa Valley! The Napa Valley Car Free website helps visitors find more environmentally friendly ways to tour. Increasing traffic congestion in the Valley threatens the very vineyards that visitors come to see. The website encourages more sustainable tourism to the Napa Valley, helping reduce air pollution caused by traffic congestion.

In 2012 the Clean Air Coalition partnered with the Napa County Bicycle Coalition, Safe Routes to Schools and Solano-Napa Commuter Information to bring “Kidical Mass” to local communities.  These family-friendly bike outings demonstrated that biking is a safe, healthy, low-carbon alternative for families to get around town and to school!

In 2013 the Clean Air Coalition will host a series of “Car Free Conversations” – bringing stakeholders throughout Napa County together to identify sustainable solutions to traffic congestion issues facing this beautiful valley.

If you would like to join the team in its efforts to reduce traffic congestion in the Napa Valley, please call Stephanie Anderson at (510) 763-2500 ext. 1.
