San Francisco County

Resource Team

The San Francisco Spare the Air Resource Team is working to encourage San Francisco commuters to explore clean air commute alternatives such as carpooling, bicycling, taking a ferry, vanpooling, or riding public transit – anything but driving alone to work!

Experience a Better Commute! The Resource Team is hosting a series of events for Employee Transportation Coordinators - anyone who is responsible for promoting commuter benefits and commute alternatives to employees.

Experience a Better Commute!  - Ford GoBike: This event is scheduled for March 29, 2019. Follow this link for details and to RSVP for this free event.

Experience a Better Commute! – Tideline Ferry: This event will be held aboard Tideline ferry on April 26, 2019. Follow this link for details and to RSVP for this free event.

If you would like to receive information about future events, please contact Stephanie Anderson at .

Fit-Trips Challenge - The Resource Team developed the Fit-Trips Challenge to highlight the health and wellness benefits of using alternatives to driving alone – to get to work, school, and around town – by using a FitBit Flex. The Team has recruited commuters to try walking, biking, carpooling, and taking transit or shuttles to increase activity, lower stress levels, and help Spare the Air. Commuters can also save money on gas and parking by using these alternatives to driving alone. Interviews with Fit-Trips Challenge participants are available online.
