Air District Fact

The San Francisco Bay Area's Air Toxics Program integrates federal and state air toxics mandates with local goals that have been established by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District's Board of Directors. The Program consists of several elements that are designed to identify and reduce public exposure to toxic air contaminants (TACs).

Alternative Transportation

In order to promote alternative forms of transportation in the Bay Area and reduce on road vehicle emissions, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District offers Bicycle Facility, Ridesharing and Shuttle incentive based grant programs. Applicants are encouraged to learn the individual program requirements before applying and contact Air District staff if they have questions.
