Air Quality Fact

Particulate matter, or PM, consists of microscopically small solid particles or liquid droplets suspended in the air. PM can be emitted directly into the air, or it can be formed from secondary reactions involving gaseous pollutants that combine in the atmosphere.

Strategic Facilities Ad Hoc Committee

The Strategic Facilities Planning Ad Hoc Committee was created in 2010 to discuss the possibility of creating a regional governance center comprised of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the Metropolitan Transit Commission, and the Association of Bay Area Governments.  Comprised of the Chair and Vice-Chair from each organization, the committee is charged with discussing a feasible location and timetable for a joint regional governance building.
