Recognizing Participating Employers

Employers electing to participate in Spare the Air are the backbone of the program. More than 2,000 businesses and government agencies have signed on to notify their employees when a Spare the Air alert is called. Is your organization among them? View a list of all participating organizations.

If not, won't you please take a moment and register your company. Once you've signed up, you can then order FREE support materials and we will provide you with assistance you might need in running a successful workplace program.

Best Workplaces stipulates distinct participation levels, minimum subsidies for transit or vanpool riders, participation in Guaranteed/Emergency Ride Home, and reporting requirements. To participate in the program, employers sign a voluntary Agreement with EPA and DOT. There you will also find an online enrollment form, initiative overview, and a myriad of information about the program.
